Japan, japan its a beatiful country to visit but there are some specific rules that you can't let behind
in the most important and awesome citys that the rising sun country have to show you, now theres a city in specific that i like most than the others and thats Kioto i like this city so much beacuse the stetic of a big city and the parts whith the conbination of the old japan and cultural mix they have get all together
lets talk about rules and what you do and what not to do in Kioto.First of all when you go to tokyo or any prefectures there are some general rules that everybody need to respect no matter if you are local or tourist
Hand shakes and cheers:
in japan are diferent the hand shakes and the cheers beacuse of the honor and respect that everybody have, The Japanese greet each other with a slight nod of the head, which is more pronounced according to the more respect they want to show, anyway if youre a tourist at some point out of habit you are going to greet someone with a handshake and although it is not a lack of education maybe you should wait for them to shake your hand first
Other point could be: in Latin American countries have the custom of giving a kiss on the cheeks and a hug when they greet people, but if you do that with the locals maybe you should think twice since those displays of affection are rare and uncommon and maybe just scare the locals
Dont be noisy:
Even if you haven a great time with your Friends dont Scream or get to loud when you Talk, even when you are on a noisy street it is rude to yell or raise your voice
Dont be rude with the geishas and maikos:
its common that the tourist go and make photos with geishas un the middle of streat or they hunting geishas in the kioto streats
if you want a photo please be gentle they are keep traditions alive
Do not tip or try to haggle:
in Japan prices are not haggled, not even in street stalls ago, it looks bad and highlights rudeness, in other way they no accept tips like usa or México its more rude give tips than no give nothing
